Thudufushi

We spent our honeymoon on the island of Thudufusi in the Maldives. It's a small island (400 by 420 yards) in the Ari Atoll with 42 cottages around its perimeter. Francorosso, the Italian owners opened this island resort five years ago. It's first two years as a resort were by invitation only. It is staffed by Maldivians and Sir Lankans(is that correct?). The all inclusive theme of this island is the perfect complement to the "no worries" atmosphere. The only need for a time peace is to ensure that you arrive at the dining area in time to catch the three meals a day. Shame really, otherwise time means absolutlely nothing here.

Despite it being a very small, isolated islad, there is no shortage of things to do. There is a full diving centre, offering PADI courses (at an extra charge), windsurfing, canoeing, catermaraning, snorking, swimming and sunbathing are all on offer. Al food, drink (except Champagme) and cigaretts are included.
