A Simmer Blink is a future imaginary of an expedition to an abandoned place shot on the Shetland island of Fair Isle using only the power generated by the wind and the sun there.  

Over the course of eleven minutes we see some of what remains in this place. No explanation is given why nobody is here anymore and we never discover who has come back. Not even whether it is a human agency.
